PURETE

Aluminum Coil & SPC Board Laminating Line Solution | PURETE Flat Lamination Machine

1. Customer Business Overview

This customer is a professional manufacturer of new decorative panels, focusing on two core substrate lamination processing businesses:

Lamination of Aluminum Coils.

They process aluminum coils with thickness ranging from 0.4mm to 1.0mm, and laminate PVC, PET and PP decorative films on the surface. Finished products include all-aluminum wall panels, aluminum veneers, curtain wall aluminum coils and kitchen & bathroom aluminum decorative panels, supplying domestic and overseas whole-house customization, architectural curtain wall and integrated ceiling industries.Flat Lamination of Single SPC Boards.

Single SPC sheets with thickness of 1.2mm to 9mm are laminated to produce interior floorings, wall panels and cabinet decorative panels, featuring waterproof, fire-resistant and wear-resistant properties for home and commercial decoration.

The customer originally operated two separate production lines for aluminum coils and SPC sheets, which brought excessive manual intervention, poor processing precision, high material loss and limited production capacity. To obtain an integrated composite lamination solution, the customer finally purchased the PURETE dual-purpose roll-to-roll aluminum coil flat laminating line. A single production line supports both coiled aluminum materials and single SPC sheets, realizing fully automatic continuous production for two types of substrates.

2. Core Production Pain Points of Traditional Equipment

CategoryDefects of Traditional MachinesProduction Losses
Substrate Compatibility RestrictionSeparate machines required for aluminum coils and SPC boards; double investment on equipment and factory spaceOver 50% higher costs on factory space and equipment procurement
Aluminum Coil Feeding DefectsUnstable tension of thin aluminum coils leads to stretching, wrinkling, deviation and material breakage during high-speed productionScrap rate reaches 6%–10%, severe aluminum material waste
Low Lamination PrecisionNo multi-stage buffer & leveling structures, resulting in bubbles, delamination and misalignment during lamination, as well as edge glue peelingHigh rework rate; high rejection risk for high-end orders
Mass Manual Post-processingManual edge trimming, secondary leveling and fixed-length cutting after lamination2–3 operators needed per line, high labor costs
Disconnected Process LinksIndependent separated feeding, gluing, pressing and cutting units without rigid gantry frames, causing vibration at high speedsLow maximum production speed, insufficient daily output
Lack of Dust Removal & PreheatingNo static dust removal or preheating sections; dust and temperature difference on substrates reduce film adhesionPoor lamination adhesion, frequent after-sales complaints

3. Complete Technological Process of PURETE Custom Laminating Line

Uncoiling → Material Buffering → Leveling → Secondary Buffering → Heavy-Duty Gantry Frame Feeding → Conveying → Dust Removal → Preheating → Glue Coating → Single-Roll Lamination → Conveying with Edge Trimming → Lifting Buffer Conveying → Leveling & Cutting → Belt Conveying → Rear Gantry Frame Discharge

Function Explanation of Each Section (For Image Annotation)

Uncoiling & Double Buffer Storage: Enable non-stop coil replacement to extend continuous production time

Multi-Stage Leveling Roller Group: Eliminate internal stress of 0.4–1.0mm thin aluminum coils to avoid stretching and wrinkling

Integrated Dust Removal & Preheating: Remove static dust on panels and balance substrate temperature to boost glue adhesion

Precision Single-Roll Gluing System: Uniform controllable glue layer, less glue consumption without glue penetration or air bubbles

Online Automatic Edge Trimming: Trim excess film edges synchronously during lamination to eliminate manual polishing

  1. Lifting Buffer Conveying: Adapt to thickness gaps between thin and thick SPC boards to prevent scratching and warping

Servo Leveling & Fixed-Length Cutting: Uniform panel flatness; cutting error within ±0.3mm with burr-free notches

Dual Heavy-Duty Gantry Frames: Suppress vibration at high running speed and maintain stable lamination precision for long-term operation

4. How PURETE Laminating Line Solves Customer Pain Points

Dual-purpose Design for Aluminum Coils & Single SPC Sheets

One single line supports 0.4~1.0mm roll aluminum and 1.2~9mm single SPC boards simultaneously. No need to purchase two separate machines, saving factory space, equipment investment and labor for maintenance.

Multi-Stage Buffer & Constant Tension Leveling System to Eliminate Wrinkling & Breakage of Thin Aluminum

Dual buffer storage plus multiple leveling rollers with closed-loop tension control ensure smooth feeding of ultra-thin aluminum coils. The scrap rate caused by stretching, wrinkling and breakage drops by 90%, greatly reducing raw aluminum waste.

Front-end Dust Removal & Preheating Integration for Superior Film Adhesion

Static dust removal and balanced substrate temperature before processing eliminate bubbling, delamination and edge peeling issues, lifting finished product yield above 98%.

Fully Automatic Post-processing: Online Trimming, Leveling & Servo Cutting

Integrated automatic lamination, edge trimming, leveling and fixed-length cutting with zero manual assistance. Only one worker is required for line supervision, cutting labor costs significantly.

Dual Heavy-Duty Gantry Frames for Stable High-Speed Operation

Thickened gantry frames at feeding and discharging ends suppress vibration during high-speed operation, preventing precision drift after long-term production and extending equipment service life.

Non-Stop Continuous Production for 40% Higher Daily Output

Buffer storage structure supports coil replacement without shutdown. Compared with traditional segmented equipment, daily production capacity increases by 40%, meeting mass overseas panel order delivery demands.

FAQ

Q1:What products are primarily processed on pur laminating machine production lines?
A1:Such as MDF, particleboard, plywood, and calcium silicate boards etc. They apply decorative materials including PVC film, PET film, melamine paper, and aluminium foil, finding extensive use in furniture, cabinetry, door panels, and decorative panel industries.
Q2:What materials can be laminated using a pur laminating line?
A2:PVC film,PET / PET-G film,Melamine paper,Wood grain paper,Aluminium foil,Fire-retardant panels
Q3:After applying the decorative material on the laminating line, is a laminating film cutting machine required? Does the decorative material already have a protective film?

A3:Our laminating line features a tracking film cutting device, enabling customers to cut the film material during roll application, thereby reducing manual labour and enhancing efficiency.

Regarding protective film, our laminating line incorporates a protective film application device. Generally, film materials are supplied without protective film. After lamination, if protective film is required per customer specifications, it is placed onto our protective film device for in-line application.

Q4:Is PUR laminating suitable for high-gloss PET surfaces?
A4:Yes.PUR provides strong bonding performance with high-gloss PET and PET-G films, ensuring smooth surfaces without bubbling or delamination.
Q5:How does the machine prevent bubbling and delamination?
A5:By precisely controlling glue application amount, pressing pressure, temperature, and line speed, the system ensures stable and uniform lamination quality.
Q6:Is maintenance complicated?
A6:Routine maintenance includes cleaning the glue system, checking rollers, and maintaining stable temperature control. Proper maintenance ensures long-term stable operation.
Q7:Can the PUR laminating machine be integrated into a full production line?
A7:Yes.It can be connected with sanding machines, dust cleaning units, automatic loading systems, and cutting machines to achieve continuous automated production.
Q8:Can PUR be used on particle board?
A8:Yes.For particle board, surface flatness and density consistency are important. With proper glue application control, PUR ensures stable bonding and long-term durability.
